2019: Anambra Lawmaker Declares Second Term Ambition

Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo the lawmaker representing Onitsha-North 2 state constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly has formally declared his second term ambition to return to the state Assembly in 2019.

The lawmaker who performed the ceremony on Wednesday at his constituency office American Quarters Onitsha while presenting his Letter of Intent to his ward chairman,  urged his constituents to support his second term aspiration to enable him to complete the good work he started in 2015.

Ibuzo explained that ever since he became the member representing Onitsha-North 2 in the 6th Anambra Assembly, he had been able to institute some projects in all the seven wards that constitutes his constituency.

He said his ICT programme had enabled youths in his constituency to acquire computer skills for self-empowerment purposes while his medical outreach programme had saved many souls from premature deaths, stressing that the free medical services had been able to help people know their health status especially as it concerned killer ailments like High Blood Pressure, Diabetes and a host of others.

The lawmaker also disclosed that he was currently carrying out a project at Woliwo primary school 1& 2 Onitsha where he was building toilet for the pupils to  prevent them from open defecation in the school compound.

He said the project would be completed before schools’ resumption date adding that a water borehole facility was also constructed to supply water in the school regularly.

Ibuzo maintained that apart from his numerous constituency projects, he had equally prevailed on Governor Willie Obiano to attend to developmental issues in his constituency.

This, according to him, is evident in the upgrading and beautification of Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) roundabout Onitsha as well as on-going road projects the governor was undertaking in his constituency on account of his presence at the state assembly.

The lawmaker who vowed to remain in APGA until his death, noted that his constituency needed more democracy dividends which only a quality and result-oriented representation could quarantee, thereby urging his people to support his second term bid to the State House of Assembly.

His colleaque, Hon.Chugbo Enwezo of Onitsha-North 1 state constituency who witnessed the ceremony, commended the lawmaker’s candour and resolve to recontest for the state house of assembly in the next general elections stressing that the reward for good work was more work.

Enwezo who was also serving his second tenure in the 6th Anambra Assembly, said Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo was part and parcel of the success recorded in the state legislature.
