United Nations Ambassador of Peace and renowned community leader in Anambra state Dr.Ramas Okoye Asuzu says President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve a second term in office due to what he sees as hardship meted out on the citizenry by the APC-led federal government.
The community leader recalled that when the incumbent president was the military head of state, he brought untold hardship upon Nigerians and rather than correct the sins of the past, the president introduced more hardship into the country; fighting corruption with soiled hands.
The foremost traditionalist who spoke with the reporter at his Liberation Temple of Absolute God Nri Anaocha local government area of Anambra state, stated vehemently that Buhari should jettison the idea of a second term in office stressing that his first term was a total mess.
Ramas said, “Buhari should not decieve himself. He should go and rest because he is as old as rest itself. “He posited that the president would only make a mockery of himself by joining the 2019 presidential contest.
He however made case for a single tenure system to avoid recycling of individuals who had served in one elective office or the other. According to him, the present crop of leaders are corrupt beyond redemption alleging that all the recovered looted funds under the present federal government had not been accounted for. He said Nigerians were suffering and in dire need of a leadership with human face.
He also observed that in a country where some individuals receive about N40 million as allowance while civil servants receive a paltry sum of N18,000 as minimum wage was worrisome, noting that the daunting gap between the rich and the poor in the country was alarming.
Ramas therefore recommended that a revolution is required in the country to flush out those he termed present crop of corrupt leaders to enthrone a new political dispensation where social inequality would be addressed.
