A coalition of women groups and advocates of women empowerment under the aegis of Osodieme Frontiers Movement (OFM) has declared that Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano is the most suitably qualified as well as most preferred person to represent Anambra-North senatorial district at the 10th Senate in 2023.
Osodieme Frontiers Movement in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Rosemary Emodi, said Mrs. Obiano’s philanthropy, altruism and humane disposition were invaluable credentials of the former First Lady of Anambra State, adding that her upliftment and restoration of hope for the downtrodden and less privileged were remarkable achievements in Anambra state.
The group noted that her non-governmental organisation called Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE) has been a veritable platform for the former First Lady to build houses, provide medical care, food and other basic necessities of life for poor widows, children of the poor and other vulnerable groups in Anambra state.
They said that her maternal love and passion to put smiles on melancholic faces cannot be overemphasized as Anambra women and children will continue to remember her virtuous deeds and interventions that have lifted many families out of abject penury and squalor.
Hence, Osodieme Frontiers Movement in the statement said it has vowed to purchase Nomination and Expression of Interest (EOI) Forms for  Mrs. Obiano to enable her to get nominated as All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Candidate for Anambra North Senatorial District in 2023.
The group equally disclosed that plans had already been concluded by them to ensure that Mrs. Obiano was supported to enable her to emerge as the senatorial candidate for Anambra-North under APGA so that she could bring to bear her tireless dedication and dexterity in mobilization and empowerment of the womenfolk across Anambra State which they said was evident in the last eight years of her husband’s administration.
Part of the statement reads, “Osodieme Frontiers Movement’s clamour for Osodieme at the 10th Senate is to enable her replicate the outstanding feat she has achieved in the areas of charity, poverty alleviation and upliftment of the downtrodden as a well-known advocate of good governance and equal opportunity for all.
“The group therefore reiterates her determination to mobilise funds to purchase the Senatorial form for Osodieme because we have no doubt that as a Senator, the former First Lady will be active and a vocal legislator who will attract federal projects, employment for our children as well as protection of the interest of vulnerable groups at all levels.
“The Osodieme Frontiers Movement is one of the women groups in Anambra State who have been working behind the scene in support of the Senatorial aspiration of Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano.”
