The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled governorship primaries in Lagos, Enugu and Adamawa states.
The mode of primaries for Enugu and Adamawa states has also been changed from INDIRECT to DIRECT Primaries.
New dates:
- Lagos Governorship Primaries – Tuesday, October 2, 2018
- Enugu and Adamawa Direct governorship Primaries – Thursday, October 4, 2018.
Recall that the APC had scheduled the Lagos governorship primary for last Saturday and later rescheduled it for yesterday. It was later resheduled again for today. Today’s exercise is what has been shifted to tomorrow.
Incumbent governor, Akinwumi Ambode, is slugging it out with Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is the favourite of the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.
If care is not taken, the Lagos APC crisis could affect the fate of the party in the general election holding next year.
