Anambra 2025: APGA Must Prepare For Political Criminals — Jude Emecheta

By Raymond Ozoji, Awka
Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency, Dr. Jude Okechukwu Emecheta, has stated that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) must prepare adequately for those he described as political criminals as the 2025 governorship contest beckons.
Emecheta, who has been following political developments in the state, told NewsProbe that it was no longer news that in every election season, all manner of characters surface to cause confusion and rancour in the polity because they want to muscle political power at all cost.
Emecheta, who stated that Anambra was not Imo or Ebonyi State, maintained that no amount of external invasion would thwart the collective mandate of Ndi-Anambra in 2025.
He said he has been in Anambra state and can virtually tell the antecedents of some characters already plotting to clinch power in the next gubernatorial election, but he believes very strongly that Anambra citizens are well informed now.
Emecheta said the incumbent governor Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is doing very well judging from quality road constructions across the state and other infrastructures instituted by his government just barely two years in office, despite scarce resources.
He said some dramatis personae may not like Governor Soludo because he is not throwing money in the wind for them to catch and also blocking revenue leakages through which many people have siphoned state resources. But the bottom line remains that the governor is delivering on the task assigned to him by the citizenry.
Again, Emecheta opined that it would be extremely impossible for political opponents like Tony Nwoye, Ifeanyi Ubah and others to unseat Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo because already Ndi-Anambra have endorsed his second term bid.
He also stated that APGA was lucky to have Soludo because he is bringing transparency and hard work to governance in the state, adding that the APGA should endeavor to make the local government party chairmen strong in the grassroots to enable them to galvanise people at the grassroots for APGA.
