Anambra Facing Trying Times Under APGA — PDP

Raymond Ozoji, Awka
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says Anambra state is going through very trying times under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led state government.
The party held that the state was going through difficult times because of the style of governance of the incumbent state governor, coupled with what the party described as misappropriation of resources.
The party said such perilous times might not last long enough because the PDP was poised to restore the lost glory of the state when the APGA governnent would eventually relinquish power to the Peoples Democratic Party in 2021.
The position of the party was contained in its new year message signed by the state chairman of the party, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, and made avilable to journalists in Awka yesterday.
The party’s new year message  reads, “On behalf of myself, Nwobu family and entire members of Peoples Democratic Party Anambra State Chapter, i write to thank our good Lord, our party faithful & indeed all Anambrarians as today marks the end of 2019, you actually made the year worth the while.
“While I thank our good Lord for ushering us into the year 2020, there is no doubt that our state is passing through very trying times, but that notwithstanding, I urge you to be optimistic and to partner with me & our great party towards making Anambra great again.
“May Almighty God the giver of all good things bless you, your family, our dear state and the nation in general.”
