Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra state, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, says the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties in the state will all vote for him in the coming governorship election.
He said other political parties had assured him that if he got the ticket of APGA for November 6 elections, they would all surrender and collapse their structures for him to guarantee a landslide victory for him at the polls.
Soludo, who stated this in Awka, explained that it was time for the solidarity votes to be made manifest because God had made it possible for him to become the standard-bearer of the APGA.
He said, “Opinion polls show that members of other political parties said they will support Soludo if APGA nominates him. To them, I now say APGA has nominated Soludo; so come around and support us.
“We can also understand the desperation of some political elements who believe that the only way to stop Soludo from winning in November is to stop him from being the candidate.
“Now that I have eventually become a candidate, let’s now allow the people to choose in a free and fair election.
“If you employ me as your chief servant in November, I hope to deploy all the global and national experiences and networks I have to make you proud as a village boy that I am.
“I am a Pan-Africanist and hope to work with other leaders in the southeast if you give me your mandate to create that next Nigeria that would be the pride of the black race.”
The former CBN governor also disclosed that opposition elements infiltrated APGA only to sponsor cronies to destabilize his candidacy but according to him, no one can battle with the Lord because his nomination was providential.
Soludo noted that with his emergence as candidate of the party, APGA would not only conquer other states but would also metamorphose into a cooperative movement where every APGA faithful and Ndi-Anambra at large would be economically stable.
He said political appointments would not be an issue but most importantly his government would leverage on the gains of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration to create a more industrialised Anambra where citizens would find gainful employment.
