Anambra State Transport Commissioner, Dr Christian Madubuko, says with lunch of anti touting held at Upper Iweka Road, Onitsha, the state Government will no longer condone touting and Illegal collection of tolls.
Exchanging views with journalists, the commissioner said that anti touting regulation also affects members of the Police, Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Army.
He announced that Government had already established mobile courts to try offenders who could face imprisonment. “It not to be business as usual’’.
Dr Madubuko added that government had also observed that the touting bugging the state was largely perpetrated by non indigenes of Anambra.
He urged the good citizens of Anambra to key into the new scheme to ensure sanity in the state’s transport sector. (MOI)
