Anambra To Mount Surveillance Cameras On Mango Trees

The Anambra State Government will soon launch CCTV Security Initiative in the state as the state executive council has approved the purchase of surveillance cameras for the purpose of watertight security.
This was made public by Governor Willie Obiano at an event in Awka where he explained that the surveillance cameras would be placed on mango trees as well as other strategic locations for crime detections.
He said the cameras were known as invincible eyes that would not be seen by anyone but would be installed in various places to detect criminal activities adding that millions of the surveillance cameras would be procured be the state government.
Obiano said the aim was to ensure that Anambra state becomes the safest place on the African continent.
In another development, Governor Obiano has also launched Operation Ember Months Security Initiative for 2018 where he enjoined security agencies in Anambra to be more vigilant especially as the yuletide season approaches.
He said his administration had been proactive in the security and protection of the citizenry and that his government would continue to ensure that the state enjoyed a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for businesses and interpersonal relationships to thrive without breaches.
