APGA National Chairman’s visit to his predecessor, Ozonkpu Victor Oye

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has paid a significant visit to his predecessor, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, at his country home in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The APGA National Chairman was accompanied on the visit by his wife, Mrs. Amara Ezeokenwa, along with members of the APGA National Working Committee (NWC); the Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye; former Member of the House of Representatives for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Benjamin C Obidigwe (Akaoma Jide Aku); the Member Representing Idemili South in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe; the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Hon. Ugochukwu Obiefuna (Akalaka Umueri); the Member Representing Awka North in the State Assembly, Hon. Chimezie Johnmark Ikwunne; the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Anambra State, Chief Emeka Udodeme (Odegba); the National convener of APGA, Apostle Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga (Ezesinachi Amasea); and numerous other party stakeholders.

Barr. Ezeokenwa’s visit was driven by the ethos of “Onye aghana nwanne ya”, exemplifying the party’s spirit of unity and familial solidarity. The visit was also necessitated by the commemoration of Father’s Day, where the National Chairman had come to wish his predecessor a warm Father’s Day. During the visit, the APGA National Chairman commended Dr. Oye for his exceptional contributions to the party and acknowledged the significant strides achieved during his tenure as the National Chairman of APGA.

Oye, in turn, expressed profound gratitude for the visit and pledged unwavering support to the current leadership under Barr. Ezeokenwa. He praised the growth and positive trajectory of APGA under the current leadership, citing that the best decision APGA had ever taken was to elect Barr. Ezeokenwa as its National Chairman. He also commended Governor Soludo for his exemplary performance in Anambra, noting widespread approval among the people and predicting a successful second term based on his achievements.

The exchange between the former and current APGA leaders underscores the party’s commitment to progress, continuity, and effective governance. This gesture of mutual respect and collaboration sets a positive tone for APGA’s future endeavors in serving the people and upholding the party’s core values.
