APGA Will Win In Lagos, Says Reps Aspirant

A House of Representatives aspirant for the Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prince Ifeanyi Ezeabasili, says his party will win in the forthcoming general election in his constituency.

Speaking after he collected his nomination form in Abuja on Monday, Prince Ezeabasili said APGA has strong taproots in Oshodi-Isolo and that not even the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would match its popularity in the constituency.

He said he decided to join the political contest to provide purposeful and all inclusive representation in his constituency. According to him, the inability of our democratic model to yield appreciable improvement in the life of ordinary Nigerians is a testimony to the failure of the current structure of the federation.

He added, “The absence of physical autonomy and political participation has created a passive population, unable to bring their elected officials to accountability. The people have become disconnected and detached from their leaders and their voices can no longer be heard.

“For democracy to survive in Nigeria, the voice of the people must be heard through their representatives. I will provide two-way service oriented representation that will bridge the gap between the people and their public servants, and active engagements in non-violent activism.

“We intend to establish six constituency offices with ICT capacity in order to enhance the monthly interactions with the electorate and to articulate efforts to increase local participation.”
