The libel suit between Governor Nasir Ahmed El-rufai and The Union newspapers pending in Kaduna high court has again been adjourned.
The matter was earlier adjourned from July 2019, to 9th October due to election tribunal and judicial break.
Following the July adjournment, the motion on notice on application filed by The Union newspapers counsel Barr. Hilfan Abuul, inviting Governor El-rufai to appear in person before the court could not be debated.
The Union, in the motion, is inviting El-rufai to court to defend his assets declaration forms as former Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprise, BPE, and Minister of Federal Capital Territory respectively.
However, at a resumed session on Wednesday, in kaduna court 4, the court further adjourned to 4th December 2019 because the presiding judge, Justice Mairo Mohammed, was indisposed.
The Governor is challenging The Union newspapers over news report on alleged N90 billion assets declaration it published in july 2015.
