Frontline leader of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, mourns the passing of the pioneer chairman of the PDP in the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Alhassan Gwagwa.
Atiku, in a press statement signed by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja on Tuesday, said that the deceased PDP chieftain was a formidable pillar of the party.
According to the statement, “Alhaji Gwagwa will remain a pivotal figure in the history of our great party; his memory shall continue to inspire us about the sacrifices of great people who birthed the PDP,” Atiku said.
He further enjoins members of the PDP in not only the North Central zone, but across the country to take a cue from the legacy of the late Alhaji Gwagwa, saying: “there is a lot of lesson in his extraordinary life as a patriotic leader and a community leader.”
Atiku expresses his condolences to the PDP family in the FCT and the national body of the party while praying that the soul of the deceased be granted into Aljannah Firdaus.
