Raymond Ozoji, Awka
Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Awka-North and South Federal Constituency seat in the 2019 general elections Chief Emmanuel Nweke has observed that the southeast region of the country lacked basic infrastructure for 16 years. He also said President Muhammadu Buhari has moral certificate which has endeared him to the international community.
He said roads, electricity supply, health care services and all other basic infrastructure needed to enhance living conditions in the zone were apparently non-existent for 16 years.
Nweke who made the observation at his country home in Awka-South at the weekend while speaking on the need for the southeast region to stand with President Muhammadu Buhari in his second term aspiration to the presidency, maintained that the time has come for Ndigbo to be part and parcel of mainstream politics in the country and desist from playing second fiddle.
He described the APC as a national party with the gospel of true change and the only political party that produced a president with proven integrity and impeccable character recognized all over the globe.
Nweke however noted that most insinuations and negative opinions of some people about President Buhari were borne out of ignorance, noting that the president has moral certificate that has endeared him to the international community which is evident in the bilateral relations Nigeria currently enjoyed with other nations.
The business mogul further emphasized that Ndigbo should not be sentimental in their decisions on whom to support for the presidency but take a unanimous stand to back president Buhari’s re-election in the interest of the southeast and the entire country.
