Don’t Contest In 2019, Anambra Youths Tell Ngige

Anambra Youths under the umbrella of Youths for Credible Democrats of Nigeria (YOCDON), has asked Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Nwabueze Ngige to forget re-contesting in 2019.

A Communiqué issued at the end of their quarterly meeting in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area (LGA), and signed by its President Mr Godwin Okeke, the youths noted that the minister’s efforts and assistance to his people through his office had been noteworthy.

They, however, urged him not to venture into 2019 Senatorial election as there was no vacancy.

According to them, we use this platform to urge our brother, Sen. Ngige, not to run for the Anambra Central Senatorial race in 2019 “to avoid unfavourable consequences’’.

“Sen. Victor Umeh is already at the Red Chambers and is doing tremendously well.

“Ndi Anambra will want Umeh to be there beyond 2019 because in just few months, Umeh has made the voice of the people heard more than ever before.’’

The youths noted that if Sen. Ngige were to run for Senate in the 2019 Election and fail, Anambra might stand to lose the ministerial slot and the gains accruing from the office. (MOI)
