A group known as Ndigbo Unity Forum has asked Ndigbo to ignore the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu’s call for the boycott of the forthcoming general elections.
In a statement signed by its President, Augustine Chukwudum, NUF said Kanu’s call was not in the interest of Igbo.
“He wants us to remain in bondage as he did in 20l5, we must not allow him again,” the group said .
It regretted the burning of INEC materials in Anambra, saying it showed the resident electoral commissioner was not prepared for the election.
The NUF also condemned the national headquaters of INEC for not monitoring the activities of RECs, saying if they were, such thing would not have happened in the first place.
It demanded strong seccurity in all the INEC offices nationwide.
