Mr. Enzo Uzor Nzeribe, a concerned Anambra citizen and Anambra-South Coordinator of a non-governmental organization known as Kwechiri Na Oganiru Anambra, has observed that the electoral time-table for the November 6 Anambra Governorship Elections released by the Independent National Electoral Commission has escalated political permutations and electioneering activities as more and more dramatis personae indicate keen interest in becoming the next governor.
Nzeribe who stated that from all indications, every Dick and Harry wanted to govern the state either for personal or parochial reasons, maintained that Anambra citizens should be wary of the antics of politicians who were hell-bent on obtaining power either by hook or by crook.
He said while speaking in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Awka that Anambra had witnessed what he described as a smooth transition from the government of brigands to a government of the people, by the people and for the people under Governor Willie Obiano.
He said that the government of Chief Willie Obiano has amongst other numerous monumental achievements, entrenched and institutionalized the Think-Home Philosophy, which he noted that Anambra indigenes in the diaspora have leveraged on to bring home their businesses in order to grow and develop the economy of their home state.
Nzeribe therefore opined that as the November 6 Governorship Poll gradually sets in, Ndi-Anambra should discern carefully while making the choice of a suitable replacement especially one who will be innovative enough to think outside the box like the incumbent governor.
According to him, “Too many characters are in the field displaying ill-gotten wealth and brainwashing citizens on how they will build castle in the air, if elected next governor but the bitter truth is that all is targeted at a grand design for self-aggrandizement.”
Nzeribe however admonished Anambra citizens to ‘shine their eyes’ come November 6 this year, so that they won’t fall prey to the whims and caprices of those he referred to as renegade politicians coming to ruin Anambra state.
