Sector commander of the commission in Anambra state Mr. Sunday Michael Ajayi who commended the governor’s giant strides in the basic education sector, said that the state governor has done tremendously well in revamping the sector because, according to him, teachers now teach students with passion and enthusiasm and equally receive their salaries and incentives promptly.
Ajayi also noted that teachers in Anambra state were empowered with the necessary facilities to make teaching and learning a worthwhile experience in all the schools.
He observed that the governor’s incentives for teachers were yielding positive results as teachers no longer rejected postings to the hinterlands and remote areas.
The sector commander further disclosed that engagement of stakeholders was of utmost concern to the commission which he said was the reason the corps organised the quiz competition to catch them young.
Ajayi explained that apart from running road safety clubs in schools, youth safety education in schools, the commission also believes in engaging students in road safety issues to instill the idea of road safety in school children.
The FRSC boss in the state said the quiz competition was the second edition organized by the state command and that the preliminaries were done earlier in the year.
