FRSC Partners Nigeria Defence Intelligence Agency On Safety Of Lives In Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Defence Intelligence Agency Cell have sought for areas of mutual collaborations and synergy to enhance safety and security of lives and properties in Anambra state.

The inter-agency partnership and collaboration was the hallmark of the familiarisation visit of the commanding officer of the Nigeria Defence Intelligence Agency Cell Mr. NL Omeje to the state headquarters of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Awka, Anambra state.

Omeje said he came to the FRSC formation in the state to intimate the command of the existence of the Nigeria Defence Intelligence Agency Cell as well as seek areas of team work in the overall interest of Anambra citizens.

He therefore expressed profound gratitude to the sector commander CC Andrew Ayodele Kumapayi for the warm welcome accorded him and also assured FRSC of a robust inter-agency relations in the state.

Kumapayi remarked that the Federal Road Safety Corps valued such relationships and assured the Nigeria Defence Intelligence Agency Cell that the corps was willing to offer useful cooperation and support where necessary, noting that the ultimate goal was to enhance safety and security of lives in Anambra state.

He said, “FRSC is ready to partner Defence Intelligence Agency Cell in all areas of mutual interest especially in the areas of providing safety of lives and properties of Ndi-Anambra.”

Both Commanding Officers also agreed to share intelligence and promote inter-agency training for staff of both agencies, to enhance service delivery in Anambra State.

Highlight of the familiarisation visit was the presentation of a copy of the revised edition of the Nigeria Highway Code to Mr NL Omeje by the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi.
