I Shall Bring The World To Anambra — Soludo

Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, a frontline governorship aspirant in the forthcoming Anambra election and a man reputed by the international community for always fulfilling his promises, has promised to bring the world to Anambra if he becomes the Governor of the state.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of all the 24 Soludo support groups which gathered for a prayer meeting this Saturday at Prof Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka, the former CBN Governor told Ndi Anambra that he had accepted to contest for the election. He revealed that it took him about two years of seeking the face of God and consultation before taking the decision to run.

Soludo also recalled some activities of the several self-funded Soludo support groups which touched him emotionally and influenced his decision to contest.

“When I watched ordinary village women and youths spending their pocket money to mobilize support for me, I was moved emotionally to tears”, Soludo said. He promised to use every opportunity and connections within his disposal across the world to develop Anambra and consequently attract the world to the state.

“Soon, I will unveil my manifesto, but be well assured that my government shall build on the achievements of Chief Dr Willie Obiano and bring the world to Anambra”, he said.

The prayer meeting which was heavily attended by APGA chieftains, past and present political appointees, as well as many political juggernauts in the state, was officiated by priests from various Christian denominations – including the Anglican Church, Catholic church and Pentecostal church.

The Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezim, Ochiagha Idemili, told the audience that the event was put together by all the Soludo support groups for the purpose of thanking God for making their principal to accept the demand to run, as well as to prayerfully present him to God, to APGA and to Ndi Anambra. Chief Ibezim also described Prof Soludo as one man who has the largest political structure and most dependable political disciples in Anambra state.

Chief Ben Obi, popularly known as Igwe APGA and Mbuze Agulu, was among the dignitaries that addressed the attendees. He seized the opportunity to tell the people that Soludo receives an overwhelming support of APGA chieftains. He also asked other contestants from the party to honourably step down for Soludo.

Other highlight of the event was the official unveiling of All Soludo Support Groups campaign poster.
