In Anambra, the Senator representing Anambra-South senatorial district at the National Assembly, Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, is in trouble as Soludo Ambassadors subdued the entire Anambra-South with a zonal mega rally held at Nkwo-Nnewi triangle last weekend.
Ubah, who was on Saturday 2nd December officially welcomed into Anambra APC, a political party said to be alien to Ndi-Anambra, may have a lot to contend with because Soludo Ambassadors’ mega rally showed that the entire seven local government areas under Ubah’s jurisdiction at the Senate including his Nnewi-North council area have settled for Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
It was indeed a display of solidarity for the incumbent solution government as Anambra-South converged on Nkwo-Nnewi triangle where citizens reeled out eloquent testimonials of Soludo’s presence in their respective local government areas.
The traditional ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, and a host of other high profile personalities and stakeholders of Nnewi origin and beyond have all declared their total and unflinching support for the Soludo administration because of his practical delivery of good governance to Anambra-South and Anambra in general.
The people affirmed that Soludo’s governance model was second to none and that with the current pace of development across the state especially in Nnewi where the governor is constructing Bank Road, St. Mary’s Cathedral Road, Isaho Road and other roads coupled with the upcoming Nnewi Industrial City, they are all agreed in one accord that nobody could constitute a stumbling block to Soludo’s second term ambition.
The Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, who hails from Nnewi, the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi-North and other indigenes of Nnewi, all spoke very strongly of the presence of Soludo’s administration in the area.
Apart from that, the Chief of Staff to the Anambra State Government, Mr. Earnest Ezeajughi, who hails from Orumba-North in Anambra-South senatorial zone, told Ndi-Nnewi and the entire Anambra-South that from all indications Soludo has no competitor for the Government House in 2025.
The Chief of Staff who rendered a very long speech at the rally, told the mammoth crowd that insecurity was the order of the day before Soludo became governor of Anambra State.
He recalled that during the Governorship Election Campaigns in 2021, there were attacks at Ekwulobia, Isuofia, Ihiala and some other places but noted that since Soludo came on board, security, law and order have returned to the entire state, stressing that Anambra State is now safe under the present state government.
Confirming the bold statement made by the Chief of Staff, the National Convener and founder of Soludo Ambassadors, Hon. Osita David Onuko, told Anambra citizens at the rally of the need to support Soludo’s government as social security is top on the agenda of his administration.
Onuko, who equally functions as the Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), said the present state government has awarded over 400 kilometers of roads across the state and out of the 400 kilometers, Anambra-South has over 100 kilometers of roads, adding that mobilisations have been paid to contractors handling the road projects.
He said the governor has empowered 5000 youths, employed 5000 teachers and also planning to employ another 3000 teachers. That apart from employing the teachers, their salaries are equally being paid regularly.
According to Onuko, Governor Soludo has turned Anambra State into a construction site as a modern flyover bridge is being constructed at Ekwulobia roundabout together with a state-of-the-art hospital. He said it was the same in Awka where the governor is building the biggest recreation park in West Africa called Solution Fun City.
Onuko, who revealed that for the very first time in Anambra State, Soludo’s government is resuscitating and reviving urban water scheme to enable citizens to get clean potable water in close proximity, also told the people that antenatal services and child delivery are free of charge in all government hospitals coupled with free education schemes in all public schools.
The ACTDA MD further disclosed that the state government is introducing three new cities and also plans to convert parts of the River Niger in Onitsha into a tourist attraction as can be seen at Bar Beach Victoria Island Lagos.
He said apart from propagating and preaching the good works of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the remote reason they were at Nnewi was to make a bold statement that Nnewi is APGA because the foremost leader of APGA, the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is a native of Nnewi.
He however made a categorical statement that detractors should stop distracting Governor Soludo because the governor is on course to deliver a liveable, lovable and prosperous homeland to Ndi-Anambra.
