Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, the lawmaker representing Onitsha-North 2 State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, has said that every part of his constituency would be well represented in the State House of Assembly as he prepares for his second missionary work at the legislature.
He promised to carry everyone along including his enemies because he believes that power belongs to God and not man.
The lawmaker made these statements during his thanksgiving cum reconciliation ceremony at his constituency office in Onitsha at the weekend.
He said he was grateful to God for being triumphant at the just concluded primary elections for Onitsha-North 2 State Constituency seat where he defeated four aspirants to clinch the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ticket for another term of office in the state assembly.
Ibuzo explained that the primary election was a tough outing, but was thankful to God that he won in the end in spite of political machinations as well as malevolent tendencies against him allegedly championed by his antagonists.
He said five people contested for the Onitsha-North 2 State Constituency seat but he had the majority votes and his co-contestants congratulated him in the spirit of sportsmanship assuring him of their unalloyed support in his second tenure trip to the state assembly.
Ibuzo however assured his constituents that he would operate on the speed gear in his second term as well as accelerate tempo of constituency projects and government interventions in his constituency.
He noted that going back to the State House of Assembly, he would be a ranking member of the house and that such vantage position would be added advantage for his constituency as access to the executive and other state apparatus wouldn’t be a hinderance.
The lawmaker therefore revealed that he would launch a talent hunt programme before the end of the year to enable him to scout for the best brains in the constituency and send them overseas for professional experience even as he stated that more projects would be executed in all the political wards that make up the constituency.
Ibuzo informed his constituents that he would consolidate on his free health and computer education programmes to ensure that youths in the area were empowered for self-reliance whilst providing unhindered access to free health care services for the people.
The lawmaker however appealed to his people saying that irrespective of the camps they belonged to, he was poised to carry everybody along in his second term but solicited for their support, prayers and supplications to enable him to succeed in his second coming to the house of assembly in 2019.
Ibuzo noted that they had a concensus to deliver all APGA candidates in Onitsha-North and South respectively as APGA remained the only political party with a benchmark for sincerity of purpose and agenda for the Nigerian nation.
