Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, incumbent lawmaker representing Onitsha-North 2 state constituency in the 6th Anambra State House of Assembly has made it clear that he will quit politics if the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) fails in the country as a political party.
Ibuzo stated that he belongs to APGA and that he would remain in the party come what may stressing that he is a politician with proven integrity and track records; that he would not defect to the PDP or APC as he believes vehemently that APGA has found its way into the nation’s mainstream politics.
Speaking at the Onitsha-North APGA party house Oguta road Onitsha during his declaration ceremony at the weekend, he described APGA as a political party with permanent solutions to the socio-economic and political problems in the country expressing confidence that APGA will produce a befitting president for the entire nation.
The astute politician who won the state assembly elections for Onitsha-North 2 constituency seat in 2015, promised to re-double his efforts in the execution of constituency projects and people-oriented representation at the state assembly, if given the mandate and blessings for a second term in office.
Ibuzo explained the fact that he would operate on the speed gear, if re-elected as Onitsha-North 2 state constituency deserves quality and result-oriented representation at the legislature.
The lawmaker also said that of all the aspirants contesting for the state assembly seat of his constituency, he is the most qualified and in good stead for the aforestated position stressing that they should support him in all ramifications to ensure the realisation of his second term aspiration.
Presenting his account of stewardship to his constituents, the lawmaker recalled that a lot of developmental projects have been executed in the constituency since he came on board in 2015.
He said he has facilitated the employment of his constituents into the Anambra state civil service, established businesses also for people, provided computer training for youths as well as facilitated state government’s intervention in the area.
Ibuzo also disclosed that he has moved a number of motions on the floor of the state assembly regarding pressing needs in his constituency as well as sponsored and co-sponsored bills in the 6th assembly amongst numerous other tangible accomplishments in the first tenure .
