Candidate of the Social Democratic Party for next year’s general elections, Barr. Tony Chukwuelue, has exhibited an uncommon confidence that he would win Anambra-Central senatorial election like the President of the United States of America Donald Trump.
Chukwuelue said none had the premonition that the incumbent president of the United States of America would win the election that brought him into power in spite of malignant forces that tried in vain to thwart his electoral victory.
Speaking with newsmen at Rojeny stadium Oba Idemili-south local government area of Anambra state during the general campaign flag-off of the Social Democratic Party at the weekend, the legal luminary said he was certain that the pendulum would swing in his direction in 2019.
He said he was the most qualified to represent Anambra-Central senatorial district at the National Assembly because his years of cognate experience at the National Assembly placed him at a vantage position for the job.
The SDP senatorial candidate however berated what he termed poor representation of the zone at the National Assembly occasioned by what he said candidates of APGA, APC, PDP and a host of others have brought upon Anambra-Central.
Chukwuelue who explained that SDP was the only trouble-free political party and credible alternative in the country, said the people were no longer interested in the wiles and antics of gladiators in the zone but a new dispensation where an individual with requisite expertise and technical know-how would represent the senatorial district at the Nigerian senate.
He therefore cautioned the electorate of Anambra-Central senatorial zone to exercise their franchise for the Social Democratic Party as well as endeavour to cast their votes for him also as he was in the race to change the status quo and distinguish himself to bequeath a befitting representation on Anambra-Central through people-oriented bills and motions aimed at addressing human and infrastructural deficits in the zone. He re-emphasized that a vote for APGA, PDP and APC, would be a vote for another wasted years.
