Incumbent lawmaker representing Anaocha state constituency in the 6th Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. Charles Chukwuma Ezeani has said that Nigeria’s economy under president Muhammadu Buhari is equal to zero.
Ezeani made the statement in Onitsha during the thanksgiving cum reconciliation ceremony organized by the lawmaker representing Onitsha-North 2 State Constituency Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo at his constituency office.
He alleged that nothing positive had happened to the nation’s economy since the advent of the present federal government. According to him, most foreign investors are currently pulling their funds away because they could no longer invest in what he described as a volatile economy characterised by bloodshed.
The lawmaker who won the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) primary elections for his constituency and obtained the party’s ticket for another term of office in the state assembly, further alleged that Nigerians were gnashing their teeth under the APC-led federal government and that it would only take the combination of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to set the nation’s economic architecture right again.
Ezeani maintained that Peter Obi has the wealth of knowledge, experience and technical know-how to redeem Nigeria from its current economic mess, describing the former Anambra State Governor as a pride to the entire nation.
The lawmaker also noted that Vice President Osinbajo was given more than enough time to prove his mettle in office but failed woefully alleging that nothing good has happened with Osinbajo as Vice President except incessant massacre of innocent Nigerians across the country. He pointed out that the incumbent Vice President could not be compared with Atiku’s running mate in terms of economic innovativeness and managerial acumen.
He however assured that he would re-double his efforts as well as improve on economic empowerment in his constituency in his second coming to the house of assembly in 2019. He noted that he had been empowering his constituents through cat-fish farming and had constructed over 100 fish ponds in the area, stressing that he was poised to execute more life-changing programmes in his second term.
