Obiano’s Aide Dispels Rumour Of Petroleum Marketers’ Planned Strike

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on NUPENG Petroleum and Union Matters, Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu, has called on Anambrarians to ignore the rumor making the rounds that the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has concluded plans to down tools and embrark on strike from Monday this week.

Nwosu who disclosed this information through a press release made available to journalists in Awka on Sunday,  attributed  the said false information to the handiwork of those who were bent on creating an atmosphere of chaos and tension in the state and engineer a panic buying among the populace.

He further assured Ndi Anambra that the various Petroleum Unions are in synergy with Anambra State government due to the proactive leadership of Chief Willie Obiano  through the office of the SSA to the Governor on NUPENG Petroleum and Union Matters which has prioritized the interest and welfare of petroleum dealers, marketers and workers in Anambra State.

Hon. Peter Nwosu however advised Ndi Anambra to always confirm any information or news regarding the operations of petroleum and gas industry in Anambra State as he was always and readily available to provide the needed information and support which Anambrarians may need.
