Patrick Aghadinuno Mba, the council chairman of Onitsha-North local government area, has dispelled allegations of Onitsha Community Vigilante duplicating the official vehicle colours of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Mba, who spoke with our correspondent on the said development, maintained that the NSCDC was wrong to have levelled such allegations because their purported claim did not hold water.
He said the vehicle colours of Onitsha community vigilante service were red, white and yellow respectively while those of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were only red and white, stressing that there was no resemblance or colour crisis whatsoever.
The council boss however said such misleading press releases should be disregarded because Onitsha local vigilante had no intentions of duplicating the services of the NSCDC.
It would be recalled that the Anambra command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps had issued a press release accusing Onitsha community vigilante of using its official colours on their patrol vehicles.
The release which was signed by the state commandant Mr. David Bille further warned Onitsha community vigilante service to effect the necessary changes to avoid identity crisis.
