The ancient towns of Njikoka and Dunukofia came alive when the elites in the two communities gathered in their large numbers at the abode of Architect Emma Okafor, in Umueche, Nawfia to witness the official inauguration of Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) and the public unveiling of Anambra Smart Megacity plan.

The event was declared open by a prayer from the Venerable Ifeanyi Umeh, Senior Chaplin to the Archbishop of Anglican Communion of Awka, who affirmed after the prayer that the virtue in Anambra state needed a trigger to bring it to light to shine perpetually, a direct reference to the event that was about to commence

Welcoming the elites to the grand occasion the chairman of the event, Surveyor AJC Orizu said he was elated to see the caliber of the great men and women from the communities of Njikoka and Dunukofia present at the occasion.

He said, interestingly, the two local government areas have a rich history of shared common interest and aspirations.

He added that it was that same historical antecedent that was being re-enacted as the two local  government areas jointly inaugurate the Soludo Promoters Forum {SPF} and the public unveiling of the Anambra Smart Megacity in their domain.

“I am deeply excited that history is being made today in our communities with the official launch of the Soludo Promoters Forum and the public unveiling of Anambra Smart Megacity plan,” Surveyor Orizu said

Continuing, he stated that the vision behind the Anambra Smart Megacity is going to revolutionize the entire landscape of Anambra state, adding that it will improve the standard of life of the people as well as attract investments and development into the state.

He said with the 2021 Anambra state governorship election barely less than a year, that the elites should jointly intensify efforts to urge Soludo to declare and contest the election, stressing that Anambra state needs a man of Prof Soludo’s caliber who has all the requisite experience and connections to take the state to the next level.

He therefore enjoin all the elites to roll up their sleeves, saying that the task ahead was enormous and daunting.

“We must go into our various communities – villages, hamlets and towns to educate our people to give their full support for Soludo candidacy as we gradually inch closer to the 2021 governorship election. It is a worthy evangelism that is worthy of our time and treasure,” he further added

Surveyor Orizu also expressed his immense gratitude to the chief Convener, Mr Chike Nwegbe, the host Arch ECK and others who have worked assiduously for the success of the epoch-making event.

He also thanked the Promoters of the Soludo Promoters Forum who have taken the pains traversing the length and breadth of Anambra state to sell the good news of the Anambra Smart Megacity that will ultimately transform the state to a global destination for investment and leisure.

He cautioned that oil is gradually becoming history resulting in the dwindling resources from the centre which has equally affected the resources of the federating states.

Moving forward, he advocated for a creative solution with the active participation of the people.

The Anambra Smart Megacity plan was later unveiled to the audience. Joe Anatune explained the concept behind the vision to the audience, especially how it will positively impact on the lives of the people.
