Primaries: 8 Aggrieved APC Governors Storm Presidential Villa

Eight All Progressives Congress (APC) governors believed to have issues with party primaries in their states on Thursday stormed the Presidential Villa, Abuja and met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors.

The eight governors at the meeting are Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Sani Bello (Niger), Simon Lalong (Plateau), and Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo).

Akeredolu and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State had on Wednesday met the President on the same matter.

The conduct of the APC primaries has been marred in many states of the federation by infighting, violence and, in some cases, deaths.
