A group, Southern Nigeria People’s Mandate (SNPM) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign immediately, saying what is happening in Nigeria today shows that Buhari has failed in his primary role which is securing lives and properties of Nigerian citizens.
In a statement signed by the President of the group, Mr. Augustine Chukwudum, SNPM called on the National Assembly to impeach President Buhari if he failed to resign within seven days.
The statement added, “Mr President has not done anything since the killings started. He only condemned them without showing any effort in solving the matter. Instead he put blame on past leaders. Few days ago, Buhari told the world that those killers came from Libya, thereby making Nigeria a laughing stock.”
