Soludo Fixes Bad Portions Of Onitsha-Enugu Federal Highway At Amansea Awka

By Raymond Ozoji, Awka
The Governor of Anambra state, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is currently fixing the bad portions of Amansea junction Awka on the Onitsha-Enugu federal highway to avert the perennial problems of heavy traffic gridlocks usually experienced by motorists on account of gigantic portholes in the said bad portions of the road.
It would be recalled that motorists usually spent over 3 hours to navigate through the said bad portions due to fallen tankers, lorries and other heavy duty vehicles that break down in the area as a result of the potholes.
The State Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Mr. Don Onyenji, who disclosed this to our correspondent in his office at the secretariat complex Awka yesterday, said Governor Soludo was equally fixing the dilapidated portions of Onitsha-Enugu federal highway on the old road axis at Amansea, noting that the governor was passionate about development as well as ensure that Nigerians plying the highways through Anambra state had a smooth ride without having to be held up in traffic due to bad roads.
Onyenji said, “You know it is extremely difficult to work on roads during the rainy season but this government is doing palliative works on roads and by the time we get to the dry season, you will see what will happen in Anambra state.
“The governor is a solid planner. He is somebody that is very passionate about development. Remember he created the NEEDS Assessment Document for the federal government as Chief Economic Adviser to the presidency. He was Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and reformed the economy and ever since no bank has failed in Nigeria.
“Soludo has fixed economies globally. He is working night and day to ensure that that boundary portion that keeps motorists for donkey hours is fixed so that people will no longer suffer unnecessarily henceforth.”
Onyenji also disclosed that Governor Soludo would make  pronouncements on his 100 days in office that would shut opposition in the state because the governor’s passion to create a liveable, lovable and prosperous new Anambra state can not be overemphasized.
