*Obiano, Soludo Attend Special Mass For Thanksgiving

Governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and Deputy Governor-elect Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, have received Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), today, Friday, November 12, 2021.
Soludo expressed gratitude to God Almighty and Ndi Anambra for making this day possible.
Meanwile, Governor Willie Obiano and Governor-elect Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo both attended a special mass on Thursday evening for thanksgiving in appreciation to God for a peaceful and violent-free election in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election.
Rev. Father Anthony Chiegboka, the Vicar-General Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia in his homily thanked God for the peaceful and violent-free election. He commended Governor Willie Obiano for his exceptional service in office as the executive governor of Anambra state.
He also praised the Governor for giving Ndi Anambra a ‘choice candidate’ in the person of Cee Cee Soludo above narrow and selfish interest. He added that the church will continue to pray for peace, growth and development in Anambra State.
Rev. Father John Manafa who rounded off the mass also thanked Governor Willie Obiano for the good job he has done in the state adding that Soludo will continue from where Obiano stopped by consolidating on his achievements. He expressed confidence that the Governor-elect will live up to the expectations of the people who voted him as Governor
Governor Willie Obiano in his brief remark said the election contest was akin to the biblical story of David and Goliath. He said while APGA was like David, the opposition were the Goliath. He added that the people of Anambra State however used the power of their votes to bring down the Goliath.
He advised the people to support the Governor-elect by being committed and dedicated to their duties as citizens of the State.
He also used the occasion to commend Mrs Eunice Ngozi Onuegbusi, (the woman seen in the viral video) who refused to accept N5000 bribe from a political party agent from Ukwulu (Amagu village), Ward 1, polling unit 04 (Dunukofia LG) and rewarded her with the princely sum of N1,000,000 (one million naira).
