Soludo Successfully Slaughtered Andy Uba, Others, Says Lawmaker

Raymond Ozoji, Awka

Okechukwu Okoye, the lawmaker representing Aguata 2 state constituency and Chairman state assembly committee on Information and Public Enlightenment of the 7th legislature of Anambra state, has said that even if the just concluded gubernatorial election is repeated again, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo will smatch the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sen. Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba known as Andy Uba.
Okoye, who spoke with our correspondent at the state assembly complex Awka, described the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state as the most transparent, credible, free and fair election ever conducted in Nigeria.
Although Okoye was cognisant of the fact that the just concluded gubernatorial election was the most challenging due to pockets of security breaches, he said the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) triumphed in the end because Ndi-Anambra openly voted for continuity and Soludo successfully slaughtered Andy Uba and other contestants at the polls.
The lawmaker opined that it was clear as crystal to all and sundry that the election was incontestable but also pointed out that anyone who wished to go to court to question the chastity and sanctity of the election could do so even as he believes that the governorship election is done and dusted and Soludo has been chosen by the people.
He said,  “The just concluded governorship election is the most transparent, credible, free and fair election we have experienced in the country. However, it is the most challenging one. Challenging in the sense that we had security issues but fortunately enough the federal government and the Anambra state government pulled resources together to make sure that Ndi-Anambra demonstrated their franchise.
“The election has come and gone and we now have His Excellency Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo as the next governor of Anambra state come March 17th, 2022.
“I am not a lawyer. I am not a judge and I am not working under the judiciary but I hope court is the last hope of the common fellow.
“If Andy Uba feels that what happened on the 6th and 9th of November this year were not okay with him; of course I cannot disturb him from challenging it wherever he wants to challenge it but I must assure you that even if the votes were cast a hundred times again in Anambra state, APGA will still take the lead because APGA is for Anambra and Anambra is for APGA.”
Okoye therefore called for maximum support for Professor Soludo as he mounts the saddle to govern and administer Anambra state while urging the citizenry to eschew all forms of distractions and rancour to enable his manifesto and electoral promises to come to fruition for a liveable and prosperous homeland.
