Soludo’s Chief Protocol Officer Issues Disclaimer On Dissident SSG Members

…says they are not working for governor
By Raymond Ozoji, Awka
The Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol Officer to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, Hon. Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye (Glamour) has issued a disclaimer against three dissident members of Soludo Support Group (SSG).
Nwoye, who spoke with this reporter exclusively, said the three rebellious SSG members are fighting tooth and nail to pull the governor down because they claimed the governor didn’t give them political appointments or contracts as “settlement”.
Nwoye therefore emphasized that the general public especially other members of SSG should be mindful of the said three characters who are going around using SSG to deceive unsuspecting citizens that they are working for the governor whereas in truth they are not working for him but seriously plotting his downfall through anti-SSG activities.
He said the three dissident, rebellious characters working against Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration are one Chidi Okoye Ogazi, Charles Ebulue and Arinzechukwu Awogu.
He said the trio mentioned above have drawn battle line between themselves and the governor. That because the governor didn’t remember them with political appointments and other largesse, they will deal with him ruthlessly in the next governorship election.
Nwoye maintained that he was yet to see where the three antagonists promoted the good works of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in all their social media handles yet they claim to be supporting the governor and the Solution Government.
Nwoye also pointed out that he was yet to see where the three characters have called SSG meetings in their respective political wards and told their people about the giant strides of Mr. Governor. He said the stock in trade of the three dissident characters is to remove any person who talked about the good works of Governor Soludo in all the WhatsApp Group Chat they belonged to.
The governor’s Chief Protocol Officer further disclosed that one Dr. Nnadozie who is Special Adviser to the governor on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, spoke about the governor’s works in the WhatsApp Group Chat they belonged, they removed him.
He said one Dr. Roy Chinweuba promoted Soludo’s good works in the WhatsApp Group Chat they all belonged to, they also deleted him from the group.
He said they christened the group Anambra SSG Leadership, adding that the general public should be careful because if the said group was really Soludo Support Group (SSG), they would not delete or remove anyone who propagated Soludo’s achievements in the group.
According to him, the said Anambra SSG Leadership WhatsApp Group Chat is not a platform in support of the governor but a platform created to malign and abuse the governor recklessly and disrespectfully. That the disclaimer was necessary so as to tell the people that Chidi Okoye Ogazi, Charles Ebulue and Arinzechukwu Awogu are not working for the governor but using the platform to gather people so as to trade with it, stressing that Soludo Support Group is about grassroots mobilisation.
He said SSG was his brainchild and he appointed them into office; but had to recover it from predators who wanted to trade with it. Nwoye maintained that the three dissident characters are so inconsequential such that the real and genuine SSG members know themselves because SSG Women Leaders of the 20 wards in Awka-South have held meetings where they discussed salient issues as well as mobilised grassroots support for Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Again, the governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, said SSG Women in Awka ward 8 held robust meeting where the governor’s good works were at the centre of the deliberations. He said support group is a volunteer service and they didn’t negotiate anything with the governor. That what they told people was to vote for Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo because he has what it takes to deliver good governance. That they didn’t tell people to vote Soludo into office because after the election, they would be given political appointments.
Although he stated that Governor Soludo gave so many appointments to members of various support groups like himself who was appointed Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff from SSG, Mr. Julius Chukwuemeka the Convener Soludo Fan Club got Commissionership, Paul Nwosu SSG member Ogbaru was appointed Commissioner for Information, Nelson Omenugha Convener YESS got Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment, Egbebuike Convener Movement For Good Governance and Conscience, got Senior Special Assistant, Jude Umunnakwe Convener Soludo Solution Movement was appointed Senior Special Assistant to Mr. Governor, Amaka Obi Convener Women Initiative For Greater Anambra, appointed TC Chairman Idemili-South Local Government.
He said Emeka Orji, the Convener Soludo Solution 2021, appointed TC Chairman Onitsha-South, Onochie Ozoma Coordinator SSG Onitsha-North appointed TC Chairman Onitsha-North, Emma Nweke SSG Coordinator in Oyi, appointed TC Chairman Oyi, adding that over 100 members of various support groups were given appointments by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
He said one of the three rebellious characters, Charles Ebulue, during the House of Assembly and Federal House of Representatives Elections in the state, came out openly and worked against the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), saying that the reasons for his anti-APGA activities were because Soludo did not give him appointment.
Secondly, the said Charles Ebulue, said the person contesting election did not come to pay homage to him. Nwoye revealed that Charles Ebulue was the former Youth Leader of SSG but was unceremoniously removed because he convened a meeting of SSG where he told youths that they would give the governor conditions before they would support him for second term.
Nwoye who stated that they were not canvassing for votes now for the governor because it is against the electoral laws, said what they are doing at the moment is to tell the support group members that the person they voted for has not failed Ndi-Anambra.
He also pointed out that Governor Soludo recently empowered 5000 youths with N2 billion Seed Grant and a reasonable number of SSG youths got the governor’s grant yet the said Charles Ebulue has not deemed it fit to congratulate the governor for giving the youths he claimed to be leading lifetime empowerment.
He said that rather than drag SSG to the mud, they should settle for what he described as Aggrieved Support Members (ASM) as Chidi Okoye Ogazi is always in the habit of being aggrieved. He recalled that the said Chidi Okoye Ogazi led aggrieved aspirants during Willie Obiano’s administration but later betrayed them after he compromised, stressing that Chidi Okoye Ogazi is not a steady character.
He therefore challenged Chidi Okoye Ogazi to organise a meeting in his community Enugwu-Agidi, if he has the clout and political will to do it. Again, Nwoye said Charles Ebulue is a native of Osumenyi in Nnewi-South but can not call a meeting of SSG in Osumenyi because he lacks the integrity and credibility to do so. That Arinzechukwu Awogu called SSG Ogbaru Local Government meeting and only 12 persons attended in the entire council area. He said Awogu got discouraged and disappointed and could not share video of the SSG meeting where a few of his family friends attended on the social media.
He said, “This interview is to present the facts and also to save the vulnerable and people that may be ignorant of the fact that Chidi Okoye Ogazi from Enugwu-Agidi, Charles Ebulue from Osumenyi and Arinzechukwu Awogu from Ogbaru, are deceiving people that they are Soludo Support Group members.
“Yes. They were members but having checked their activities in the past two years, I discovered that they are clandestinely working against Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
“I appointed Chidi Okoye Ogazi to coordinate Soludo Support Group Anambra chapter and within the first two weeks of his appointment, he went to the owner of Trig Point Hotel and collected money. He went to Oris Wallis and collected money. He went to so many people and collected money he never accounted for till today.
“So that single act of embezzlement and gross misconduct, made me to disengage him as the coordinator SSG Anambra chapter. The conversations where he was begging that he would refund this and refund that are still in my phone.
“The same Chidi Okoye Ogazi convened a support group for Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo when he contested for Senate Anambra-Central and betrayed Dozie Nwankwo. Dozie Nwankwo was so shocked that the same person who claimed to have organised a support group for him betrayed him so bad.
“Before the election was conducted, Chidi Okoye Ogazi was already asking other candidates how much they can bring for him to drop Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo. This kind of character can not be trusted.”
Nwoye therefore reiterated that the disclaimer was necessary because it is time to call a spade a spade, adding that no one should deal with the three musketeers as SSG members anywhere in the world because they are not supporting Soludo instead they are anti-Soludo’s government.
Reacting to the disclaimer, Hon. Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu who insisted that he remains the National Coordinator of Soludo Support Group (SSG), said the issue of SSG was not about himself rather those who will tell the truth are there. He said SSG is a flagship structure that brought about the administration in power.
Awogu noted that SSG consists of men and women of impeccable character who are still committed to supporting and promoting Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. He said he revived SSG which was dead for two years and that the governor’s Chief Protocol Officer had floated another platform using political appointees.
Awogu disclosed that Glamour was not in good terms with Awugosi, BOT members and the leadership of the SSG where he was the National Coordinator; that from top to bottom was in disarray in SSG until he came in and reversed the situation. He had to appeal to the conscience of SSG members with the audacity of hope that tomorrow will be better.
Awogu also corrected an impression that nobody is asking for appointments. That the real issue has nothing to do with political appointments. The real issue is that the Soludo Administration should recognise that SSG members are there, adding that the disdainful attitudes towards members prompted agitations within the SSG family. He said whatever Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye is doing with SSG is a nullity because he is no longer the National Coordinator of the group.
The former Ogbaru Local Government TC Chairman challenged Nwoye, saying that he has no powers to issue any statement be it a disclaimer or whatever and that the position of a Convener is merely ceremonial and does not carry any executive powers or implementable strength.
On the other hand, Chidi Okoye Ogazi said he would not respond to Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye because the latter is doing everything possible to truncate his relationship with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. The text message he sent to this reporter’s phone reads, “How do I respond to someone who deliberately destroyed my reputation because he saw the governor getting very close to me because of my work of establishing SSG in the nooks and crannies of the state using my relationships, experience and pedigree?”
Also, Mr. Charles Ebulue who was one of the three dissident members mentioned in the disclaimer, told this reporter that he would respond to the message sent to him by the reporter at 1:28pm on Tuesday, when he is done with clinic activities.
The message sent  to this reporter by Mr. Charles Ebulue as at 2: 44pm on Tuesday reads, “I will reply to you soon once I finish with my clinic activities.”  As at 3:34 pm same Tuesday, Mr. Charles Ebulue still didn’t respond to allegations levelled against him by the governor’s Chief of Protocols.
