The West African Examinations Council has released the results of 91, 225 private candidates who sat for the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the head of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC, Mr. Olu I. Adenipekun, told newsmen on Friday that a total of 97,080 candidates registered for the examination in Nigeria, out of which 94,884 candidates sat for the examination.
Out of the 94, 884 candidates, who sat for the examination, 33, 304 (representing 35.10 per cent) obtained credits and above in at least five mandatory subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The Examination body withheld the results of 9,457 candidates.
