Women Security Officials Dole Out Gift Items To Female Patients In Anambra

The 8th of March every year is celebrated globally as International Women’s Day. The day is dedicated to women concerns and emancipation from all kinds of tutelage meted out against women in the society.
As part of the celebration this year, the Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra state command in collaboration with other sister agencies commemorated the day in grand style.
The occasion was an all women affair  which included sister agencies such as the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The women security officials visited the female wards of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku Awka to give some gift items to female patients.
There was also a brief road show as they took to some major streets in Awka to distribute flyers to the motoring public as part of the activities to mark the day.
The Sector Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra, Florence Edor, said the synergy and collaboration among the security agencies in the state  was being showcased by  women in uniform to mark this year’s edition of the international women’s day.
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander, Mr. Andrew Ayodele Kumapayi, thanked the female officials for their show of solidarity especially their visit to the hospital where they displayed undiluted love to female patients.
