The candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Aguata federal constituency in the 2019 general elections, Hon.Theo Obiora, has bemoaned the magnitude of erosion menace and other ecological challenges in the area.
Disclosing the depth of environmental challenges in Aguata federal constituency, the YPP  Reps candidate told newmen in Awka on Wednesday that Aguata was facing dire ecological problems and his intention for seeking to represent Aguata federal constituency at the Green Chambers was to help the area combat environmental challenges, adding that he would lobby at the Federal House of Representatives to ensure that the erosion devastation in Aguata was tackled head-on.
He said if given the mandate of his people, he would also lobby for World Bank loan to help rehabilitate water schemes in the area and make them functional for the provision of potable drinking water. Obiora said that he would equally venture into youth empowerment especially as it concerns sports and a host of others.
Although he said it was not in his place to rubbish the efforts of the incumbent representative as well as  other individuals that have represented the constituency, he emphasized also that the facts on ground speak for themselves in the sense that they have not really done enough to bequeath quality representation for Aguata federal constituency.
According to him, people would no longer vote for political parties but individuals with manifestoes that would engender sustainable development in Aguata federal constituency.
