The Anambra State ICT Agency in conjunction with the State Ministry of Information, PA-CENT Technologies and Bonitas Technologies is set to host a one-day technology appreciation workshop for media professionals in the state.
This training program aims to provide media professionals with a comprehensive understanding of technology and its impact on the industry, as well as encourage them to cultivate a mindset of continuous learning and adaptability, taking advantage of technology.
As the agency charged with the mandate to ensure the delivery of the ‘Everything Technology And Technology Everywhere’ vision of Mr. Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the State ICT Agency is committed to evolving initiatives that will ensure citizens in diverse sectors of the state align with this vision leveraging technology.
A statement signed by the MD/CEO of the Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, disclosed that the workshop has become apt to keep media professionals up to date with the latest advancements in technology to greatly enhance their work, increase productivity, and open up new opportunities.
This will enable them to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry and ensure they are at their best in providing Anambra citizens with the required information in a well-organized pattern.
“The integration of technology into media practice opens up new avenues for creativity and innovation while also maintaining ethical standards and upholding the core principles of journalism and media professionalism,” said Agbata.
According to Agbata, “the Agency is collaborating with some partners, to be able to pull off the very important event because it recognizes the role partnership can play in not only providing the expected knowledge to the practitioners, but also in making sure that core professionals who benefit from the exercise are tracked post-event, to support them in grey areas.
“As an agency, we look forward to this auspicious event and the value it will bring into the work these professionals are doing.”
